- I was slacking in the school library today when I fall asleep. And when I woke up, some thoughts about the cell group came into my mind, and so I wrote to mingli:
hi mingli, wei xian here. I wrote this email because I want to share some thoughts that had been bothering me. Throughout the december, lots of things have happened to the cell group. I have seen people leaving, and I won't blame it on anyone. But I think this could have been prevented. I think the cell group is quite shakened right now and some things have to be done before it gets worse. I know that you have been constantly reminding us to keep in touch with one another, but sometimes, our studies and work just doesn't allow us to. And even if we stretched out our hands, there are others who are not willing to receive it. I admit that this is tiring. But I continue to pray that the cell group will continue to grow stronger from here. The bible says that united we stand, divided we fall. I don't want to see the cell group fall. I thought that its hard for one person to concentrate on the whole cell group, so why not we group them up? Smaller groups are easier to handle, and will definitely grow stronger if we stay connected with each other in our groups. It might not be the best method, but it might just work.
Moreover, I can assume that lots of people have lots of doubts on why people are leaving out of the blues. I can only say that the more you delay the truth, the more people will talk, and sad to say, these talks create doubts and separate us. Sorry that I put it so bluntly, but I just hope that you can reveal the truth next time, rather than hiding it from us. For example, why did wen hui, yu ching, Pum, jeanette and LC left? What is the specific reasons? If I hadn't heard from words of mouth, I would still be kept in the dark. And all these could definitely have been prevented if we had known the truth earlier and had shown our support as a cell group towards them.
I agree that we should constantly try to reach out to more people, but as pastor kong said, we need to have a strong foundation, because that's where people see us. When we are reaching out, that will be the time where satan will attack and the cell group will be weaken because we will put less attention to the members in our cell group. So for the time being, I think we should concentrate on building a stronger bond between every single one of us.
Last of all, I'm glad that you spoke about the late comers yesterday. It's everyone's responsibility to come punctually for service and prayer meeting. I just pray that those words that you said change their thinkings and they can be more punctual next time.
